Unter dem Titel ‹The Vanishing Operator› zeigt Alexandra Navratil im Kunsthaus Langenthal eine Einzelausstellung mit neuen Arbeiten zur Materialgeschichte von Film und Fotografie. Ein Jahr hat sie als Artist in Residence im niederländischen Filmmuseum EYE verbracht und dort in den Archiven nach Bildmaterial für ihre jüngsten Arbeiten gesucht. Der folgende Text basiert auf einem Gespräch mit der Künstlerin Mitte August. Navratil gab Auskunft über die Entstehung der Arbeiten und die Konzeption der Ausstellung.
