Since 1975, gta exhibitions is part of the Institute for the History and Theory of Architecture (gta) at the ETH Zurich. Therewith the exhibition area is situated in the center of a University with an international appeal and reaches the future generation of architects directly at the site of their education.
The exhibition program serves as an interface between theory and practice, showcasing research, teaching and discourse in the Department of Architecture. The projects are elaborated in close cooperation with students, architects, artists, and renowned professors. The thematic field of architecture is extended through interdisciplinary approaches and critically reflected through an experimental approach to the medium of the exhibition, which attracts much interest and fosters debate.
